I made 2 DIY projects over the weekend. Liquid soap and dishwashing detergent. I am still learning as I go and I look for new recipes when Something is a fail. Both of these are a second attempt.
Dishwashing Detergent
Here are the supplies needed

Add Supplies into plastic container |
1/2 scoop per load or 2 tbsp |
DIY Liquid Soap

2. 2 Tbsp Glycerine
3. One Gallon Water
Grate soap into bowl |
Add soap into 1 gallon of water Add the glycerine Melt mixture on low heat Remove from heat |
Let mixture set in pot several hours Stir mixture for 2-3 minutes Pour into desired container |
You can add in essential oils of your choice to get a scent you prefer.
ReplyDeleteI purchased all the supplies at Walmart except for the bar of soap. You can use any soap you that you like best. I also added about 4 cups of water to the jug after I funneled the soap into the water job and shook it up really good. You can play with how you like the consistency. I have tried this without the glycerine and it did not come out right. The soap was very stringy. I am still trying to come up with the perfect soap myself. Have fun and remember you are saving money and the planet by making your own household items.
